The participation in the circuit “Le Terre dei Medici” with the VII edition of G.F. Chianti Hills 9 June 2024.
The Gran Fondo Colli del Chianti is a NON-COMPETITIVE cycling event open to any cyclist registered with a Sport Society for 2024 (Enti della Consulta).
The routes are the following: Medio Fondo 94 km, Gran Fondo 128 km. For the Cicloturistico 48 km only cyclotourist card.
GRAN FONDO COLLI DEL CHIANTI GUIDELINES
Any cyclist taking part in the GF Colli del Chianti must be a member of UISP or any other federation whose membership includes insurance, and this membership must be valid for 2024. Anyone not in possession of such a membership can register with UISP in advance by sending an email to info@cdrbiketeam.it when registering for the event.
Any participants wishing to cycle the three routes must present an identity document and the 2024 membership card of their federation (or photocopy of one) or the Health Certificate for cardiovascular intensive sport activity, signed and stamped by your own doctor.
It is compulsory to wear a safety-tested rigid helmet and keep it secured, and to show the Entry Coupon on the handlebars to facilitate registration at checkpoints.
The event is by invitation and the Organizing Committee may decide to accept or decline a registration at their discretion.

Race bag: You will be able to collect rage bags (by providing us with your 2024 federation membership card or the Health Certificate for cardiovascular intensive sport activity, signed and stamped by your own doctor, and a valid identity document) on Saturday June 8th from 10am – 7pm and Sunday 9 June before the start of the race.

Start: from 7:00 to 8:00am. For those wanting to cycle the longer route, we suggest leaving no later than 7:00.
Refreshments: Three refreshment points with food and drinks can be found on the longer course, two on the intermediate course and one on the short course.

Checkpoints: On departure + on arrival and along the route:
1 for short (total 3)
2 for the average (total 4)
3 for the long (total 5)
Prize: Being a non-competitive event, no individual prize will be awarded. As with any event forming part of the “le Terre dei Medici” network, prizes are awarded to the first ten Sport Societies attending with the highest number of participants starting and finishing the race.
Prizes not collected on Sunday June 9th will NOT be delivered to the Sport Societies.
The awards will be made unexpectedly at 2:00 pm.
Total cancellation of the event: Should the event be cancelled by cause of force majeure, the registration fee will not be reimbursed.
Medical Assistance: The emergency number in Italy is 112.
Mechanical Support Phone number: Should you need any mechanical help, please call +39 335/385881. The response time depends on the availability of the mechanic and his/her distance from you.
Rules: The CdR Bike Team who organise the event will not be held responsible for accident or damage to people, animals, or objects that may occur before, during and after the cycling event. Every participant must respect the Italian highway code. For every single aspect not included in this list you may refer to UISP code.
Duty & Right: The participant may choose the route most suitable to his or her own capability during the event by respecting the check points. Those who will not respect them will not be awarded any points.
During the race, we invite you to respect the environment and to dispose of waste at the check points or at the finish point in the waste containers.
Anyone caught littering will be disqualified.
